Michael Cox, Director of Gardenia Funerals, is a Melbourne funeral director who began his experience in the funeral industry over 18 years ago. Michael"s ability to relate, guide and understand the needs of the families he meets is a gift that just comes naturally to him. We're excited to be launching our Funerals by Design Planning Tool.
This Tool allows families to view our service and product offerings and to plan a funeral online and calculates the costs as you step through the questions. Once you complete the process a fee proposal will be emailed detailing the costs and selections. eTributes was launched in September 2015. eTributes provide a way for family and friends to express and share their thoughts on the person being remembered online.
Share photos, videos and special memories or view a DVD Tribute or Printed Materials. Please In January, 2015 we introduced our new range of contemporary Tribute Stationery. Many families now wish to create and hand out printed tributes at funerals so we have put together an extensive range. Our options include Bookmarks, Order of Service and Mass Booklets, Prayer Cards, Thank You Cards and Children's Cards.
In August, 2014 Founder Michael Cox established and launched Gardenia Funerals, with the mortuary located in Moorabbin. Michael's dream of owning and operating his own funeral business became a reality! When just 15 years of age Michael Cox went to North West Funerals located in Mildura for work experience. At the end of his first day Michael wasn't particularly keen on the idea of going back the next day!
However, Michael's Mum insisted that he did as he should honour the commitment he made. Michael was pleased that he did and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of his week where his duties included washing cars and assisting Funeral Directors with their duties. It was a decision that was to change the future direction of his life!
