He is survived by : his spouse Wanda Whelan (Kranz); his children, Chris Whelan (Lisa), Andy Whelan (Amelia Daigle) and Julie Whelan (Gerald Dinkel); his grandchildren, Kiera and James; his parent-in-law Garnet Kranz; his siblings, Jill (Leonard Gribbon), Brian Whelan (Francine), Myles Whelan (Johanne) and Judy Whelan.
