It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kassy (Kasandra) Daneel Sparks of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 23, 2019, at the age of 47. Kassy Graduated from Providence Catholic High School in 1990 and carried on to study Education with a minor in Spanish at Elmhurst College, she transferred to Lewis University where she gained her bachelor’s degree in education in 1995. She later got her master’s degree from Governors State University in Early Childhood Education. She has been employed as an amazing pre-school teacher with Joliet Public Schools District 86 since 1995, where she instilled the love of learning, taught children they are valued and loved and changed and blessed the lives of many children as well as colleagues in her 24 year career.

She was preceded in death by her Father, John Love Hunter III, Maternal Grandparents Marjoria & Theodore Kostecki & Paternal Grandparents Jeanette & John Love Hunter Jr. and her Aunt Sandra Kostecki.

Kassy leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband, Hank Sparks, beautiful daughter, Lula Sparks, devastated mother, Betty Hunter (nee Kostecki), sister Katy (Ian) Bristow (nee Hunter), amazing uncle, Mike Kostecki, Special Friend & adopted sister Diana (John) Casillas, Brother-In-Law Chester (Michele) Sparks, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, God children & cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Judson Church (2800 Black Road, Joliet, Illinois). Please come dressed in bright & cheerful coloured clothing to honour Kassy's love of primary & bright colours! This is a celebration! There is a Celebration of Life service at Judson Church 2800 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60435, (815) 725-6835. Please join us in celebrating her life! As Kassy has been cremated and there will be no burial please do not send flowers. Kassy was a firm believer that the dead receive more flowers than the living and we agree.
