He was predeceased by : his parents, Arientta Jean Gunderson (Fortman) and Gustav Adolph Gunderson; his sister Betty Jean Kummer (Gunderson). He is survived by : his wife Carol Engel; his children, Eric Gunderson (Paula) of Choteau, Kirsten Lathrop (Derrick) of Wahpeton, ND and Cara Gunderson (John) of Denver; his grandchildren, Michaela, Garrett, Blake, Carter, Claire, Kale, Elena and Marit.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 18th 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Golden West Lutheran Church (16163 Old Shelby Rd, Conrad, MT).
