It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Anne (Young) Gaylor (San Antonio, Texas), born in Glasgow, Kentucky, who passed away on March 1, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Sarah "Anne" Gaylor passed away at her home in San Antonio. She was born October 18 in Glasgow Kentucky.
She was a talented portrait and abstract artist who exhibited her work in many San Antonio's art shows and galleries.
Over twenty years teaching charm, beauty and self-esteem programs.
Winner of four pink cars including two Cadillacs and various other prizes during her career with Mary Kay cosmetics.
A featured writer for Ageless Times and founder of Ms San Antonio, Senior America Pageant, 1997.
A graduate of Philadelphia Modeling School.
During her years with the Calliope Modeling and Talent Agency she worked as a model, actress, stand up comic and coach to new talent.
She and her husband George Gaylor produced a weekly television show called "Minutes of Fame" for Paragon Cable.
She was a collector of magic wands and mermaids.
She will be deeply missed. She was larger than life.
She is survived by her beloved husband (The Big Sweet) George F. Gaylor, daughter Cassandra Gaylor White, grandson Wilder Orion White, son in law Robert White, niece Angela Townes, nephew William Brent Kelly. She was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Frances Kelly and Victoria Young Overstreet. Because of her fascination with people and after many years of traveling with her husband in the Air Force she had numerous friends that she considered family members. Special thanks to her caregivers Dina Castro, Veronica Gonzales, Gracie and Monica Bolden and many others. Many thanks to Four Seasons hospice RN Angelo R. Garcia, Margie, and Diana Miles for their kindness and special care.
A celebration of Anne's life will be held in a forthcoming Spring/Summer date in San Antonio.
