He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James Mills, Emily Mills; his wife, Kay Mills; his siblings, Nancy Leach, Alma Rowe, Betty Hertel of News Braunfels, TX, Hardy Mills of Hayden, AL; his children, Hardy Mills (Pam) of Seadrift, Sheri of Sacramento, CA, Keetha Mills (Phillip) of Sacramento, CA, Tommie Mills; his grandchildren, Lisa Mills of Portland, OR, Courtney Rohrer (Mickey) of New Haven, CT, Stormy Mills of Seadrift, TX, Nathan Mills of Sacramento, CA, Hannah Mills of Walnut Creek, CA; his great grandchild, Magnolia James Rohrer.

The past four years he has lived with his son and daughter-in-law in Seadrift, TX due to Alzheimer's.
